2007
With the rising demand for gold bullion, it was more essential than ever to establish BTC - Bullion Trading Center to be the bullion arm of the group. Today, BTC leads the Egyptian market with an unprecedented variety of products and solutions for both individuals and businesses. Along with its strong presence in Egypt, BTC is also expanding across the region with our offices in Dubai and South Sudan.
2003
Iram, Egypt’s premium diamond jewelry retail, opened its doors, offering a lavish royal experience, complemented by the outstanding vibes of its century-long villas, located in Korba.
2022
| We proudly signed a protocol of cooperation with HRD Antwerp in the presence of Dr. Tarek Shawki, Minister of Education, Dr. Hala Al-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Nivene Gamea, Minister of Industry and Trade, and the Belgian Ambassador in Cairo. Following this agreement, EG Diamond has been selected to be HRD Antwerp’s Center of Excellence, the first in Egypt and Africa. |
2019
With his persistent dream to revive and reclaim the original position of the Egyptian Gold industry, Mostafa Nassar signed a Protocol of Cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Applied Technology to establish Egypt Gold School for Applied Technology. The School was the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle and was established with the purpose of passing the secrets of our industry to new generations of talents.
2010
The first refinery in Egypt and one of the biggest across the Middle East and Africa was established soon after to address the growing scope of BTC including refining, importing, exporting, and production of precious metals.
2001
Because nothing shines brighter than a diamond, time has come with the arrival of the new millennium to expand our 20,000m2 manufacturing complex to be Egypt’s first integrated gold and diamond factory.
1980
Throughout this decade, the Nassars further expanded their scope of work into an industrial empire, equipped with cutting-edge technologies. Under the leadership of the legendaries, Hassan and Mostafa Nassar, Egypt’s first gold factory was established, driven by the greatest dream to revolutionize the market and regain the reputation of Egyptian gold with world-class trendy jewelry lines.
1960
By then, it was essential to move to a bigger market. This was made possible with the opening of the family’s first store in Al-Hussein, the main gold marketplace in the capital city.
1935
It all started with a small shop in Suez city in 1935, that over the years turned into a full-fledged business run by the Nassars, leading the gold and jewelry industry with an unprecedented level of services.
